RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to resume its nonstop daily flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This new service re-establishes a direct route linking the UAE emirate with the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are currently available through the airline’s sales channels. The route will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. The airline announced the service restart on October 6.

As of now, the daily flights will provide travelers with an additional direct option between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a significant city situated on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The recent statement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it mention which aircraft will operate the flights upon restart. Air Arabia has not yet published flight numbers for the October relaunch. Passengers are advised to verify current schedules when booking their tickets.
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, expressed his enthusiasm about bringing back this connection. He emphasized that the daily flights would give customers a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted ongoing travel demand between these locations. The announcement focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger projections or traffic estimates. No additional operational changes were announced alongside the route reopening.
Expansion of Ras Al Khaimah’s Network with Daily Flights
The reinstated Kozhikode route will become part of Ras Al Khaimah’s growing list of international destinations. Currently, Air Arabia offers nonstop flights from Ras Al Khaimah to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar. Kozhikode will rejoin this network starting October 16. The airline launched operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, and since then, the emirate has remained one of its key bases within the United Arab Emirates.
Initially, the Kozhikode route launched on November 22, 2023, with a schedule of three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights were operated by Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights, though the airline has yet to confirm whether the same flight numbers will be used or specify operating times for the upcoming service.
Tickets Available for October 16 Resumption
Passengers can purchase tickets through the airline’s website, call center, or travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed in conjunction with the announcement of the route’s restart. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode service was discontinued or provide reasons for the interruption. Details such as starting fares or aircraft assignments were not included. The only confirmed information pertains to the destination pair, daily frequency, and the October 16 restart date.
Nearly three years after the initial launch, the route’s return restores a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala. The new schedule will replace the previous three-times-weekly operation, offering daily flights without intermediate stops. Travelers seeking specific flight times, fares, or flight numbers are encouraged to consult current booking information prior to travel. Air Arabia has not announced any further modifications to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily service restart.
